The Dog Friendly Honda Element

Dog Friendly Honda ElementDogs and the Honda Element? Yes! You heard it right. Showing true commitment to customer satisfaction, Honda has answered the growing demand for dog-friendly vehicles with a concept car specifically meant to address the needs of people who frequently travel with their dogs.

Honda made this happen by adding a package of canine travel enhancements to the Honda Element. The Element has long been recognized as a dog-friendly vehicle with an easy-to-clean urethane floor and expansive, flat cargo area, wide-opening side cargo doors, low lift-in height, and accommodating dimensions for tall items.

The specially designed collection of accessories for the Honda future vehicle include pet restraint systems, a folding ramp, pet bed, spill proof water bowl, electrical fan and more - all designed for better dog care.

A finalized version of the Dog friendly Element is scheduled to debut this fall. Other major pet travel components include: Dog-pattern second-row seat covers, All-season "dog-bone" rubber floor mats, A leash, collar and dog tag ready for custom engraving, and Tote bag.

Powered by a 2.4-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine, the Element is available with either a 5-speed manual transmission (standard) or an available 5-speed automatic transmission. The four-passenger Element comes in three trim levels LX, EX, and the top-grade sporty SC. The cargo area adapts to large items with its flip-up rear seats that fold flat, fold up and to the side, or can be removed altogether that gives more room for your dog.
