Honda Car Exports Achieve the Magical Million

Wednesday, December 12, 2012

2013 Honda Accord Sedan
Holman Honda is truly and deservedly upbeat as exports of Honda vehicles have crossed the one million mark. Representing such a successful car manufacturer is inarguably a reason for celebration and Holman Honda is doing all it can to see that car buyers are abreast of the occasion.

A 2013 Honda Accord had the distinction of being the millionth Honda car to set sail across the Pacific to South Korea's capital city of Seoul. Marysville, Ohio is the birth place of this millionth export car. A point of great interest is that, it was another Accord Coupe that was the first Honda car to be exported from the US. And hold your breath – it was exported to Japan of all places, the home of Honda Motor Corporation!

Honda cars were the first Japanese vehicles to be made in the US. In fact, Honda cars' history in the US has a number of appealing sides. It was way back in 1982, that the manufacturer started assembling cars in America. Within five years, Honda cars started their overseas journey when Accord Coupe cars were exported to Taiwan.

Honda car exports are set to reach another milestone as the figure is likely to exceed 100,000 units for this year. Chances are the export target may even succeed the 1994 record of 105,511 units per year. Made-in-the-USA Honda vehicles reach more than 40 countries today. The aggregate value of Honda cars and components exported from the USA will pass $22 billion this year.

Production capacity is being ramped up to 1.92 million vehicles by 2014 as Honda is currently working on plans for building an auto plant in Mexico where it will manufacture the favorite Honda Fit. With such robust backing, the manufacturer is aiming to meet the domestic demand for Honda cars in America and at the same time, service its extensive export market.

Leading the export charge is the Honda Accord. You can see the new 2013 model at Holman Honda in Ft Lauderdale. The car offers a choice of three powertrains; a plug-in hybrid, 3.5-liter V-6, and a 2.4-liter direct-injection 4-cylinder engine. Generous cabin space, seats that are comfortable and tastefully set instrument panel give a nice feeling to the Accord. The sedan variant has become slimmer, looking a bit more aggressive in stance for the new year.

Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning and LaneWatch blind spot display are some of the new technologies on the Accord. Honda has introduced, HondaLink, which connects to the digital cloud-based content directly without the trouble of handling your mobile phone. Trademark LaneWatch and HondaLink are class leading safety features that take most of the hassle out of driving. You are bound to feel exceptionally comfortable on long journeys.

A $500 military appreciation for veterans and 0.9% APR for qualified buyers are some of the sales incentives ongoing at the Holman Honda Ft Lauderdale showroom. Incidentally, make it a point to take advantage of Holman’s Referral Program for an opportunity to receive $100!
